How is Southern Fried Chicken prepared?

All I know is that it is fried, there are many recipes, Paula Deen has a great one, the ones served in Dollywood are wonderful, too!

I have bought it all 3 ways. It depends on the time I have and where I am. If I am at the Jersey shore, I'll buy it fresh, cook and shell it myself. At home, I am more likely to go for convenience.
