We're pretty prepared as a leftover from when we got prepared for Sandy to hit us. I'm not sure where all our supplied are, but we do have them!

Not really. We're pretty lucky in that we aren't susceptible to natural disasters (except forest fires) here, so we're pretty relaxed on preparations.

I live by myself, so no. That would get mighty expensive in an apartment building/laundromat! :o

Rice!

Do you cook rice at home?

How often do you cook rice? What type of rice do you make-(brown rice, white rice, seasoned rice)? And how do you cook it-(rice cooker, stove top, ...)?

We go in spurts with rice, I love it and could eat it all the time John just likes it. I buy the Knorr pouches when we have rice.

We rarely cook rice but its always been white. My mom just boils it in a pan of water. We like to mix a tuna gravy with it. Really good and filling :)

I use basmati rice, and I usually cook it in a steamer.

But every now and then I'll cook it in a soup, usually chicken. It soaks up the broth instead of water, and it becomes an instant delicious meal!
