I use ground turkey more often than ground beef, so perhaps once every month of so, as shepherd's pie or taco salad.

A big turkey dinner is 1x/year for thanksgiving, but I cook turkey breast throughout the year & have the occasional turkey sandwich.

I tried grits for the first time a few years ago while in Florida at a Waffle House.

I really enjoyed them.

Now, when I go cross-border shopping, I always stop and buy some grits to make at home.

I enjoy them as a breakfast. I make grits, add maple syrup, and some frozen berries.

What sort of pets do you or have you owned?

Right now, we have two dogs, a puppy, a cat, two turtles, a bird, and many fishies.

Growing up, we had all of these, and many pets, too many to remember.

I have always had at least one dog all my life.
We have taken in squirrels, turtles, chipmunks, frogs, anoles, hamsters, and guineapigs.

Currently we have 3 dogs, 5 cats and 5 koi. Sadly while we were on vacation my kitten was determined to make friends with a beta fish we had for over a year. She knocked the bowl off the fireplace mantel and he expired.
