poll: next Christmas, 11 people 3 studios, WLV or Poly

December is the most popular month of the year for DVC points bookings, especially early December.
Christmas time is also the most popular time of the year for VWL (now called Boulder Ridge, while the new villas are Copper Creek). because Christmas decor looks great in a lodge :)

Poly studios are great for the extra sink and shower, and can be connecting.

In my family's opinion, Wilderness Lodge is the absolute best, without question, resort on Disney property during the Christmas season.

If you are talking Christmas week (anything including Christmas day and/or New Year's), Poly hands down just for transportation's sake. We stayed at BWV over Christmas 2015 and I'm so glad we did. Traffic is horrific so buses took forever. The boats weren't great either (monorail will be pretty bad, too). But monorail beats buses every time and, from the Poly, you'll have monorail access to two parks! Yes, WL is lovely, but if you want to go to the parks and not simply gawk at your resort's Christmas decorations, I would book whatever resort you can with the most convenient transportation to the parks.

thanks! I've always wanted to stay at the Poly, but my heart belongs to the Wilderness Lodge! My son has 3 step daughters so the 2 bathrooms at the Poly would be great! We will be going around December 29, so after Christmas but there for New Years Eve !thanks for the replies, gives me more to think about!

Not really two bathrooms. Just one room with a tub, toilet and sink and another with a shower and sink in the Polynesian studios. One queen bed, one queen sleeper and one bunk sized murphy bed. Boulder Ridge will have one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and the bunk sized murphy bed. Copper Creek will have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa (maybe queen sleeper sofa), but no murphy bed. Copper Creek only sleeps four in the studio, not five like BRV or PVB.

If you plan on renting points, be ready to book this right away at 11 months out. If you are renting from an individual rather than a broker, they can book it right at 11 months out when booking opens for the day.
