DH, DS 9 and DD 7 love this ride. I'm in the motion sickness category. I admit, this ride scares me. I've not yet decided if I'm riding on my next trip.

Motion Sickness, but than I had motion sickness on the Tea Cups also.
I find that the older I get, the less I can ride the rides. :(

love MS, even rode about 8-10 times back to back one day. never a problem.

heed the warnings, if any chance someone gets motion sickness, problems with closed spaces, certain health issues etc.. visit another attractin.

In 2003 me & my 9 year old DD rode M:S. While inside the ride the feeling was incredible & fun BUT when I got up to get out of the capsule I hit my head because I was dizzy. (I didn't know is was centrificle force) anyway I had a monster headache :headache: for 2 days straight! My DD liked it but also felt queezy so she didn't want to go on it again.

Done it once, no need to do it twice. :sad2:

I was fine. I had even eaten a Mickey Bar beforehand and was wondering if I would regret that. :rotfl2: DH however felt the mickey bar was not the best idea for him before riding. He felt a little green around the gills afterwards, but when we rode it again later, both of us were fine.

Mission Space did not affect me any more than Star Tours. It does very little to me.

The teacups or "spider"/"octopus" rides will make me motion sick.

I haven't ridden it (and won't be, I get motion sickness easily). I voted on behalf of my dh though, he loves it, no effect!

Haven't ridden yet! Now with the 'kidless' trip coming up I don't have the excuse that I'll wait with the kids while dh rides!! He thinks I'll be fine :faint:.....ummm I'm not too sure, hit me on a bad day and I'll feel 'outa sorts' for the rest of the day! It's true the older you get....I never used to be like this! :scared1:

I have rode it three times so far with just about no effect. One of the times I felt slighty sick after, but I didn't listen to the instructions and look straight ahead. Other than that, no bad effects at all! :cool1:

i have had 2 of these affects. there were a couple of times when i had no bad reaction. then there were other times when i had a slight upset stomach or slight nausea...

I have only been on M:S once, shortly after it opened. It was fine. I was worried I would get sick, just from all the hype I read here and all the warnings before you actually are seated on the ride. But we had no problems at all. We even ate dinner right after at Nine Dragons.
DH has been on M:S several times since.
Once he rode it about a half hour after eating breakfast. He was okay, but said it was not a good idea and won't do that again. He was queasy afterwards for a short while.

Although I suffer from migraines and I get motion sick on Teacups, Star Tours, etc, M:S doesn't bother me other than I break out into a sweat! LOL!

my only reaction to riding mission:space was i had withdrawals 'cause i soooo wanted to DO IT AGAIN!!! LOVED IT!! :cool1:

I am in the "no effect" crowd which isn't 100% correct. The first time I rode it I had some slight problems focusing on the screens (I wear contacts). Anyone who is nearsighted and wears contacts know that it is more difficult to focus on thing that are close up. This caused me to be a little dizzy when I got off, but nothing major. I was my DS6's favorite ride so he ended up riding it 6 more times, 5 with me, 1 with his mother (she dosn't like spinning rides at all). After about my 2nd ride the last 4 were no problems with me.

I should also note that I rode it back when it was up at full speed, not the toned down version they have now.

Also, I am tring to gather some information about Mission Space, if you know any thing about the people that were taken to the hospital, when, when the ride was toned down (exactly), etc please follow this link and let me know what you know.

Thanks

No problems, here.

I was scared half to death to try it the first time, though. The warnings just almost talked me out of riding...but I rode with my nine year old son and we loved it. My six year old son also loved it and we had no problems from the ride. The second time wasn't scary since I knew what to expect and I enjoyed it much more.

i had no ill effects-and I was on the phone. My DD refused to get on(panicked)as I was getting on and the CM took her to the exit where my DH was w/ the baby while I stayed on w/ the boys.So I was calling him and stayed on the phone until he had her.My boys loved it but it did make my SIL and BIL very sick.
