Please read the whole post before commenting THANK YOU.
This is not a new topic just want a fresh take. I apologize in advance if this has been discussed before. This maybe a topic for Locals but open for all. I realize that this thread could really be lively, lets keep it civil. We all know that Disney is expensive that is not the topic here Disney has always been expensive. What I am trying to convey is, is the Value there for you or not. How do you feel Disney should or could enhance your experience
I am a Disney Platinum Plus Passholder
Just know that I have a true passion for WDW, this is why I feel like hearing what others have to say. I am a local with a family now and go to the property a lot, like once or twice a week. I am now 40, and that could be some of the reason for my views. I am admittedly been frustrated with some things @ WDW for some time. I do want to make it very clear that I have a true love affair with the place. I may have oversaturated myself with the experience and am probably just getting board with it. I have been obsessed with the place since I was a kid, coming in 81. So a lot of this maybe memories I had as a child, that could be a factor as well . With that said when I was a child my parents footed the bill. Now I am so I am sure that has effected my over all experience. I know that some think that us long time patrons feel that we are entitled to special treatment. I know that I have been guilty of being that way, admittedly.
What I'm trying to get across here I have experienced a lot of rude and entitled people excluding myself. The parks are very crowed and things like some really poor customer service, this maybe do to the large crowds. LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THESE CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES ARE ISOLATED. I have been told that cast member training at Disney U has been cut down to 1 day now instead of a full week. That i am sure as a part in all of this. I know that budget cuts need to come from somewhere. I have seen a lot of trash in the MK and those trash cans at the TTC parking lots. A lot of just not so Disney things or what I believe I am custom to experiencing. I believe that some of the shows such as illuminations really needs an update. Some other shows need a refresh. I know that The MSEP is going away for good sometime in Oct. So maybe we will see something Fresh there.
A recent article as been written about an pass holder survey http://www.orlandosentinel.com/busi...ls-passholders-discontent-20160826-story.html This also may ignite further talk. But I do see pass holder non blackout ticket going up soon or in the near future. DLR non blackout pass is I believe $1000. Agin not talking about how expensive it is but will it be a value to you and your family?
Oh and ONE thing I failed to mention is that the other parks one in particular has really upped their game. Not just in attractions but in over all customer experience. They took a page right out of the Disney play book. Plus hiring some former Disney imagineers doesn't hurt their case.
