I voted never. We do NOT have one or two meals per trip in the room... That is unless we order breakfast and have it delivered by room service. :teeth:

We are 25%. We almost always have breakfast in. We've even done a dinner or two but that is a lot less frequent.

We generally have breakfast in the room at WDW. It saves time and we enjoy getting to the parks early. We generally eat lunch and dinner around WDW... usually at sit down restaurants.

We also travel a lot to to other condos on the beach (3+ weekends/month). There... we love to just relax and not deal with going out to restaurants. It is nice to park the car for 3 nights, and do nothing all except watch the waves, drink wine, sit by the fire... and cook nice meals.

At home... we tend to eat out much more often than eating at home. We love going downtown and exploring out the best restaurants in town... as well as frequent some of our favorites.

First, I interpreted "cook" to mean "prepare", regardless of whether a stove/oven/micro was actually used. :confused3 We've never actually used any of those for more than micro popcorn :lmao: .

That said, I voted 50%. We ALWAYS eat breakfast in the villa: coffee, juice, pastries / donuts / poptarts / other wife-selected goodies. We also stock up with bread, mustard and lunch meats, and most days we eat lunch when we come back for our PM break. Dinner is almost always out - or takeout brought back to the villa.

We do almost all breakfasts in the room, and normally about one in four dinners, too. Saves a lot of money, and we like being able to relax in our room and not worry about an overtired 4-year-old (ours) at a restaurant.

Vacation = no work, i.e. no cooking for me (except for coffee - WDW's is pitiful).

We always do a big breakfast in the room. Several nights we will do pizza & salads, or lefovers from a sit down meal we did eat out. I also buy lots of fruit, deli meats, chips, rolls etc and make substantial sandwiches, wrap tightly and leave them in the fridge. They always disappear, so someone is eating in!

It would be easier to count how many times we eat out. During a 1 week (7 day trip) I will make 2 to 3 reservations for meals. We may grab quick meals or snacks counter service 2 or 3 times during the week, but those big breakfasts generally hold my crew.

All bets are off during the Food & Wine Fest. We eat all day long, so generally only breakfast is made in the room.

I have often wondered when we have little ones if our habits will change.

The number of meals in/out really depends on how long we stay and if we drive or not. Short trips (five days or less) and flying - eat out much more Long trips (six plus days) and driving - eat in more

I like to think of the stove as a decoration while on vacation. Although I did vote for the 25% we use the kitchen- we do put the pop tarts and granola bars in the cabinets.

There's a reason there are so many great restaurants around!!....does making nachos count as cooking?

For us it depends on where we stay. At VWL we eat breakfast in the villa, but the rest of our meals we dine out. At OKW, however, in addition to eating breakfast in our villa, we also ate about half of our dinners there. DH loves to cook, so that got me out of that chore, and I just loved the fact that it was January and we were eating dinner outside!

We never cook anything while on vacation. Eat out for all meals, whether it be restaurants or cs by the pool. Cannot even imagine cooking while on vacation. The kitchen for us is just a place to store some beer, soda and juice. :goodvibes

We eat breakfast in the villa almost every day. We will also really cook once ... usually grilling something and making sides in the kitchen (if we have one).

You mean to tell me that after 13 years that the Stove Decoration is a REAL working stove??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Every breakfast in the villa. At least half the lunches and half the dinners are in the villa.

Saving money on meals was one of the ways we justified the expense of joining. Also, dining out a lot can waste time and calories, if you're not careful.

i voted 25% because DH and DD eat cereal in the morning. As a person who only has a kitchen at home because it came with the house, I'm not about to turn on the stove when I'm on vacation. I think we did use the microwave once for popcorn.

I voted 0%. Part of the great fun of our vacation is picking all of our restaurants and making ADR's. We spend weeks talking about it and narrowing down our choices. The problem is that we have too many "must do's" :teeth:
When we bought DVC I asked DH if he wanted to eat any breakfasts in the room and he looked at me like I was carzy. I think he said something like okay, you eat frozen waffles with the kids and I'll be over at Cape May Cafe having breakfast and we'll meet up later. He was joking about that part, but not about not wanting to eat breakfast in the room. For lunch we are always in the parks, so we eat there and dinners are always out. We do sometimes get snacks for the room. Like last trip we got chips and dip and doughnuts in the afternoon for the kids and ate that in the room before going out. We had a late ADR that night (8:15, I think) and I didn't want the kids to be too hungry.

When we vaction other places, like Myrtle Beach or Nags Head, we do eat breakfast in the room or house. Although many mornings DH goes out to get the paper and brings McDonalds or bagels back for breakfast. That's because we want to get to beach early. We eat lunches there too. Just sandwiches, I don't actually cook anything. We always go out to dinner. I can't imagine cooking a real dinner on vacation.

We do like the big fridge at DVC resorts though. We always have it filled with soda, beer, juice and milk. We used to only get those tiny fridges at the deluxe resorts which held practically nothing.

We usually have cereal, fruit and muffins for breakfast in the villa. We eat all other meals out. I can NOT be bothered with cooking while on vacation. :goodvibes I guess it is nice to have that option, though.
