I rarely drank coffee untill I got my free Senseo (thanks Budget Board!!). Since the medication I am on makes carbinated sodas taste yucky, I am now enjoying my "morning" caffine in coffee form with lots of sugar and cream. So, just about two cups a day these day for me, but I am enjoying them!!
I have one in my hand all day and night. I am immune to caffine! I sip though so I don't really drink a lot, but I do have one at all times. Its my security blanket I guess
Monday-Friday I have one refillable mug of coffee in the morning. Saturday and Sunday it just depends on if I have enough time to sit and enjoy it. Sometimes if we are out running around we will pick up a cup from Starbuck's or something.
I voted 3-5, but If I am home all day it goes up.
Very hot, and very strong, and very black!
Coffee actually has health benefits, so don't sweat it, enjoy!
I just keep filling the pot till its bed time....currently i have a starbucks in my hand and will be making a pot for my office as soon as its half empty
I love the coffee press. I went and bought one after Christmas and my husband and I love it. The coffee is so good, we make it on the weekends when we have a little extra time. I highly recommend them.
none for me. I don't drink coffee and I esp don't like the smell of it. Everytime my co-worker decides to brew some, I have my medical mask I put on so I don't have to smell it.
DH and I grind/brew a pot of coffee in the morning and I usually drink 1-2 mugs of it, and he drinks the rest. Occasionally if there is any leftover I might nuke a cup of it later in the afternoon.
And occasionally we'll make a pot of decaf in the evening if we're home and it's cold and windy outside. Makes us feel better.
I've never ever had the caffeine pick-me up kick in. It's caused me to have touble falling asleep a couple of times (but not always), but I've never felt that it pepped me up or make me more alert/awake.
I don't drink coffee. I actually can't even stand the smell of it. I know most people LOVE the aroma but I get ill off of it. When I was pregnant Dh had to grind and brew his coffee on the back patio so I wouldn't be sick all the time.
over the holidays, I got in the habit of making a pot everyday and drinking up to 3 cups pre day - but that isn't normal foe me. I am trying to get it back down to no more than a cup and not every day.
And, as usual, here I am sipping away at coffee while DISing ..
I'd rate myself a 1 - 2 cup a day person. But I think you should factor in strength. Even though Starbucks et al have introduced coffee variety to many in the US, quite a few Americans continue to guzzle coffee that is so weak it just doesn't seem to qualify as real coffee.
When it comes to per capita consumption, by the way, the US is no way near the top. The per capita consumption of coffee in the US in 2003 was 9,2 lb. My own country Finland, for some strange reason, had the highest consumption in the world - in 2003, it was 25,1 lb for each and every person.
I have several good friends who are priests, and of course they make the rounds of parishioners. When a priest visits a family, it is absolutely de rigueur for the host to provide coffee and pastry - and it would be an insult if the priest didn't finish off at least one cup. The result? The typical priest in Finland might end up drinking 10 - 20 cups of rather strong coffee during a single day ...
