We have five in our family. The average amount has gone up over the years, but with 3 DS (teens) per day per person is $64, for all meals, not including pickies and snacks.
Between 700-800. We are a family of 4...2 kids ages 5 and 9. This figure includes all character meals, sit downs, counter services, snacks, drinks, refillable mugs, etc. ...the whole kit and kaboodle!! We stay 7 nights, 8 days.
I've budgeted $140 each day for us, a family of 4, me, DH, ds3, and ds1. DS1 will be free at all the character meals and buffets though. I may have overbudgeted, but that's better than not having allowed enough and it ending up on the cc!
We are at about $800 for 2 adults and one small eating child of 10. We stay about 8 nights usually and do one big sit-down meal a day with 2 smaller meals/snacks. When we add in the photos and a few souvies, it gets to almost $1500 for the whole trip other than room/airfare/passes.
I've budgeted $200 a day for our family of 4, me, DH, 2 DS's. Like someone else said, there are too many variables for the poll to be accurate.... how long are you staying, how many people, ages, etc.
i voted in the 800-900$ catergory. however, it usually depends on how long and where we are eating. sometimes it is more, sometimes less. years ago our travel agent gave us a formula to use and it has never failed. usually we bring money home. it is usually just myself and my husband.
We spend about $150 per day for two adults and one child. Sometimes more....sometimes less. It depends on what type of restaurant we choose to eat in for dinner.
We are a family of four and usually go to WDW for about a week at a time. We don't do many breakfasts (as we stay concierge and just eat from the lounge), a mix of counter service and sit down for lunch, and all sit down for dinner (mostly at the high end restaurants, with no buffets). We also like our wine, so we spend a fair amount on that. With all that, we easily spend more than $1,000 for food during our trips.
i also voted at $800 range.....
we are a family of 4, and planning on character breakfasts and sit down dinners...( small or no lunches, but snacks )
we are going to be at WDW for 5 days.
i know it seems high, but we are on vacation and have worked hard all year long to save and we are going to have a GREAT time
For a typical 7 day stay - we spend $700- $800. An average of $100 - $125 per day. Some days less, some days more. It's just me and my DH - no kids in the picture. I can imagiine that would blow our food budget out of the water.
Well I picked $900-$1000 for our last trip because weare a family of 6 and we stayed there 2 weeks. But looking back I think it was probably over $1000 because we did quite a few sit down meals at places like Ohana, Chef Mickey--which easily can be $150 each for a group our size.
I'm embarrassed to say that we spend over $200 a day from DH, myself, 2 dds, and ds. We just figure going into it that between meals, snacks, drinks, and the pool bar we spend about $300 a day.
We budget $100/day for the three of us (me, DH, dd9). I have done trips where we cut that to as little as $50/day. But $100 is comfortable. That also includes all extras - like surrey bike rentals for example. We eat breakfast in the room each day and bring drinks/snacks to the parks. We have one nice meal a day (usually lunch) and then do counter service for dinner, usually just buying kids meals or splitting meals. For souvenirs we buy a few things at Belz and then give the kiddo $10/day which is hers to spend as she likes (that comes out of the $100). Dh and don't buy souvenirs in general.
