Just got back from a day on the slopes and I'm wondering which is most popular here on the DISBoards.

Regardless of whether you ski or board, let us know what ski resort you frequent, if you're a season pass holder and how long you've been skiing/boarding for.

We (Daxx, myself & DS9) downhill ski. We ski at Kissing Bridge, a resort in Colden, New York. Daxx and I have been skiing on and off for years but this is the first year we've done season passes. DS9 has been skiing since he was 5 yo. and has had a season pass each year. He mainly skied w/his Grandfather ... but now we all ski and all have season passes so we go out constantly!

Can't wait to hear what you do! ~Daxx's Wife

I prefer to ski...downhill. I've never tried Cross Country but I'd like to. I live in Southern California so I have Big Bear an hour to the right and Wrightwood about 30 minutes to the left. When I was in high school I used to work at Mountain High in Wightwood and I would get to ski on the clock if we weren't very busy. I loved it!!! Nowadays I only get up there once every few years since I spend most of my free time at Disneyland or WDW.

Wow -- only one skier out there!? No boarders!?

I only know how to ski and am not about to try and learn how to board at my age. We are going up to big bear this weekend and it will be my kids first time in snowboarding lessons. I hope they like it.

I LOVE to ski! I'm not any kind of athlete by nature, but took right to skiing when I learned at age 20. But, sadly, I haven't been in nearly 10 years. :sad1:

Downhill skier here , and my equipment is ready for the season......

One snowboarder. Okay i'm not very good, but it is super cool. (was that the right phrase? LOL)

I used to Ski... alot ... now I have a bum knee that is a couch potato :guilty:

The Dh skis and boards, not very well though for as long as he has been doing them :teeth: We go to Big Sky Resort. He boards, I nap. :confused3

I've never tried snowboarding, but I love to ski. We're going to Lake Tahoe (Heavenly) for spring break! :cheer2:

Well, I voted that I downhill ski (which I do) but as I age I like cross-country skiing more and more - just because of the serenity of it all. I like the adrenaline rush of downhill but it can get really crowded. You don't find that x-country...and my dog can come with me! I got the small skis at the end of last year and will be trying them out this year. Can't wait to go through glades with them!

We downhill mostly at Mt. Sunapee since it's only 2 miles down the road but ski at most of the NH/VT mountains. For x-country we ski at the Norsk Ski Center and the Eastman country club (also for their proximity).

Our kids are also skiers - my son tried snowboarding for a few seasons but shied away from it when one of the kids he was taking lessons with 'caught some serious air' and broke his neck.

Downhill here......although living in FL it is very difficult finding good ski conditions :teeth: So off to Steamboat Springs Colorado for 1 - 2 weeks every year for the past 20 or so! I have cross country skied also but have never tried boarding........I think I am a little past prime for that one!

When I lived in SoCal in the 80's, I used to downhill ski at Mammoth Lakes almost every weekend. Until that fateful day when I ran into a tree and broke my arm. I haven't been on skis since then. I guess that some people should just sit in the lodge and drink hot cocoa.

I downhill ski. Have been on skis since I was 4 years old. DH just planned a weekend away (by ourselves) to Keystone for the end of March. It will be the first time back on the slopes since '99. Having kids and moving to TX makes very little time to go skiing--much less the fact that TX does not have snow!!

Can't wait to get my skis and boots back on!!
