we have 300 points at BWV and recently added 100 points at VWL

Bought 150 points at VWL last week. Plan on buying at BCV if dollars per point and points per night stay are not to high.

What attracts you to BCV? Aren't you concerned over the close proximity to the road, inadequate balconeys, and long walk to the transportation boats?

To be honest with you, we bought at OKW 10/00. Banked 00, used 2001 and borrowed all (but 8) of our points for our Magic Cruise in July 2001. We have yet to put our feet in OKW. (We know it's not the best way to use pts., but we were planning on a cruise out of NY for 2001 anyway - $$ invested in DVC and cruised anyway. We have been on a waitlist for OKW resale (small add-on) for months now. Actually, if we buy at BCV - we like the idea of a different resort and closer to parks (perhaps our kids one day can go with a friend or two) but wondering how many nights a small-add on would get us. Either way, we loved the cruise so much that we will be booking this Aug. 2002 for July 2003 (with another DVC family that came along). We will be paying a lot $$$ since we have only two years worth (unless we have that add-on). We do take two rooms (3 children). This time though, after cruise, God willing, we plan on Western Carib. cruise for a week and stay a week at OKW - We are dying to say we are going home and since we will be borrowing again from 2004, I am not waiting til '05. Of course, the year we dont' have points (like 2002), we vacation elsewhere and use opportunity to see different places. We would love to come down at least once a year and become DVC and Disney experts, perhaps after this next cruise. Sorry, did I get carried away here a little.

300 BWV points. Those are MORE than adequate for our WDW needs, so we always have excess points which we have applied to cruises/Trapp Family Lodge. However, as with most members, I find that you're better off paying cash away from WDW.

When we eventually move up to a 1-bedroom from a studio, we'll use the majority of our points in Orlando........

We would like to own some points in the Epcot/MGM area. Small contracts are hard to get for BWV through resale. We would like to see about adding enough points to stay every three years in a two bedroom. Buying through Disney we can get the right amount we need. When we go next year in November we will take a tour of the place and see things in person.

Thanks to everyone on this board we will all know how much per point, points per room/night, views, distance to the two parks, etc to make a decision.

We have never stay in that area so you raise good points for me to look into and ask questions to others on this board when BCV starts selling.

We are waiting for notice that our closing took place for 210 VWL points. This is our first purchase into DVC.

DH is already talking about adding on...
Bad part is......I'm secretly hoping we do!!!

We have just added on 50 at VB, to go with our 300 at OKW, to give us 350. This should hold us for a while Our goal is 400!!!

We just purchased 170 points at Hilton Head (closing to take place sometime next month) and DS and I were talking about how many points we have and what would could do with them. He said he thought 170 was a lot and I told him how many points others have and that even though 170 suits our needs now, we may add on at the BCV in the future. So just for the record, my DS's goal is to own 900 points .

We were watching TV last night and they kept showing the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes where they are going to find the $10 Million winner. I asked my son what he would do with that type of money and he said that after buying me a big house, he'd buy all the DVC points he could! A kid after his mother's heart!!!!

We have 250 BWV and adding 100 resale points there this month. Plus,we have 125 VB for a grand total of 475. Got the cruise bug and hopefully we can manage with that many points.

Oh, that cruise bug is nasty! It's killing me. Trying to figure out when & how again

We have the bug too. We are about to close on 430 OKW points (resale) and when that goes thru we are adding 150 BCV points For a grand total of 580 points!! This should make cruising a wonderful option for us, when the girly's get older.

That is what I love about DVC! So many many ways to work the points you have..... be it 150 or 1500!

We have 225 BWV but I'm getting the bug and 100 BCV points might just be the cure
