2hrs drive to the airport then a 13.5hr flight from Sydney Australia to LAX.

5 1/2 to 6 hours.

Newfoundland, Canada to LAX= 16 hours of travel.

This will be our first trip to DL in April 2014.

We lived in San Diego and went about every other month or so. Usually just a day trip- a few three days stays each year.

Now we live in Seattle and either drive for a day or fly 2.5 hours depending on if we will need to do anything other than Disney while there.

We live in Northwest Montana.

It is exactly a 24-hour drive if we don't stop. (We don't do this anymore since we couldn't stay awake, but we did in our younger, wilder days...) Now it is 2 12-hour days, with an over night stop along the way; usually slightly south of Salt Lake City.

On our upcoming California Adventure next June, we are renting an RV from CruiseAmerica RVs and taking the family plus a couple of DD18's friends. On this trip, we may just drive straight through. One of DD's friends is old enough to help with the driving, and everyone can sleep and be well-rested when it their turn to drive.

It used to take us 5 hrs to drive when I lived in California. Now I live in Ontario, Canada so we have to fly five hours.

15 min trip to Adelaide Airport in Australia. Then 2 hour flight to Sydney, then 14 hour flight to LAX.

We live in Northern California. It takes us 5-8 hours to drive to Anaheim depending on traffic and the number of times we stop.

Sometimes we stay overnight in Bakersfield to lighten the drive. It just depends on our needs.

NorAZ. It's normally 6 hrs, but with the detours we intentionally rake it's 7 for us.

Wish we could drive! We live in the UK so the flight is 9 hours UK to ATL then another 4 hours or so. Plus the waiting at airports inbetween - that's why we go for so long - flight home with time difference is a killer

If we drove over 1,400 miles or 21 hours. We don't drive, but it still takes all day because there are no direct flights.

Oops that was Disney World. We are only 1,000 miles from Disneyland!

It's around a 22 hour drive for us from eastern Washington state. We make it a two day drive with 4 kids, two of which are under 3.

We fly from Hawaii so we travel 2500+ miles to get to DL! It's a good thing because if we lived nearby, there would be no telling how many times I'd try to get to the parks...

We are also from Hawaii.

I agree if we lived nearby...we would definitely have annual passes and go every time!!!

I am local. Grew up 20 minutes away. But now live further (in Los Angeles.)

Many locals have the SoCal pass and come on Sundays (hence busy). I also noticed that crowds increase at night with the locals arriving after work.

I can imagine that most locals don't need to plan their trip through these boards. Hence the low rate on the poll. We tend to stay overnight just for an easy relax getaway. I also find that these boards offer great tips on things that would go unnoticed

I use to live in Westminster California when I was a kid and would just constantly ride my bike there. Then I grew up, joined the Army, met my wife of 33 years, got married, had kids and moved Des Moines, Iowa where my wife was from. When we did go to Disneyland after that we drove and it was a 2 day drive, and that is if we drove, drove, drove. It would take longer if we didn't drive like a madman possessed trying to get to our destination. That was when we were younger, now of course that the kids are grown up the wife and I fly as it is much cheaper to fly 2 people out than it is to fly 5 people out.

On our last visit to Disney World (October 09) when we went to get on the Haunted Mansion there we noticed right away that it was not done up for Halloween like the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland was. So we asked a cast member why this was. The reply we got was that at Disneyland they survived mostly off of their annual pass holders so it was a lot of the same people visiting over and over again where as at Disney World it was people coming in from all over the world and there was no need to change it up to keep the crowds coming back.

We used to live 15 minutes away; now we live about an hour away. Leaving in a few minutes to go there today! It's definitely nice, but we're not planning on living in SoCal forever. We upgraded to Deluxe this year (always had SoCal before) so we could go Saturdays for most of the year since we may be moving next summer. It's definitely nice to be so close. Even though we have become WDW addicts and absolutely LOVE making the trip there, DLR is home.

We drive approximately 28 hours from Prince George, BC. This estimate depends on whether we are in the car of towing our travel trailer. We did the trip in the car this summer and made stops to sleep in Langley, BC and Redding, CA. This was our first time not towing our trailer (which we did the previous 3 trips) and were very pleased with the time we made Next year will be and 8 hour drive to Vancouver, 4 night cruise to San Diego, 2 hour train ride to Anaheim, then a 2 1/2+ hour flight from LAX to Vancouver and an 8 hour drive home. It sounds a little exhausting
