I would like to say average plus just based on what I was expecting. What I was expecting was less based on knowing how far behind Disney is with computer/technology or what ever the term is for this (IT?)

It's too early to tell, but for now I was pretty impressed with it. I am sure they will be adjusting/adding features too - hopefully.

(I did not see a ME ling or request for location, etc.).

(I did not see a ME ling or request for location, etc.).

They still have the same request form to fill out for DME and it's still processed manually by MS.

Location requests would need to be called or e-mailed to MS to be noted on the reservation.

The new on-line system allows you to book a new reservation, cancel an entire reservation and add a dining plan to an existing reservation. Anything else needs to be done by contacting MS directly.

I won't be using it for a few months, so no rating it now. No need to tie it up with just looking.

Haven't actually clicked the button for a reservation... but being able to see what's available 7+ months out BEFORE you're actually 7 months out is HUGE! I really like it.

It could change before you even book, you know that, right? The person who starts booking two days before you will take just what you want.

How did you manage to check availability more than 7 months out for a non-home resort? I tried it just out of curiosity and I got an error message that stated that I could only check home resorts for my dates, which is what I expected would happen.

IMO, it's too soon to make a good judgement.

It's very likely that there are more features to come.

I like that they are rolling it out slowly.

I like what they have rolled out so far. I think it is a good user interface.

My early opinion is subject to change as the system becomes more feature rich.

I agree with Carol. I like what I see so far, but I think it's too soon to make an official judgement.

I also agree with Carol. It's too soon to assign a grade to the application. I like what I see so far but would also like to be able to modify a reservation (add/drop a day), search across multiple room types at the same resort, search for the same room type across multiple resorts, see availability for a particular room type at a particular resort a month at a time, etc.

I also hope they will fit the existing point banking functionality in there somewhere since it is currently in a different part of the website. I often bank and book on the same call to MS so would probably do the same when booking online.

I wonder if this feature will be added on the website eventually.

You can't check before your window opens and even if you get someone to do it for you, it's waste of a good system because we all know until you are able to book it's not accurate.

I think it is wonderful for most members but for me personally I have to say unsatisfactory - I am unable to use it due to needing accessible accommodation - there is no facility to book this online :confused3 Now we are at a disadvantage since members booking online can book these rooms an hour ahead of anyone who needs to call meaning the room we need may well be gone by the time the phones open :sad2:

Please let them know this. I was told that the reaction to the site was overwhelmingly positive with no complaints.

I think it is a very nice feature !

There is room for improvement, like anything else, but it is a very good start !

We are in the same boat with an added complexity. We stay for 14-16 days and pull points from 3 different contracts... This does not translate well with the online booking. I tried this morning, did not work... Not happy with DVC at the moment.

I can see how that would be problematic. Our most recent reservation is a 3 week trip that uses points from 2 contracts and 3 different UYs, at 3 resorts all with accessible rooms. I am also not happy with DVC right now, there isn't even a message or any sort of info about accessible rooms on the new system, it's as if we have been totally forgotten. My concern is that if all the accessible rooms are included in the general inventory that is available to book online they could all be gone by the time MS opens to take reservations by phone so the already small chance of getting the room we need is even smaller now.

We still have the issue of not being able to book the lower points options as they have not created any accessible rooms in those categories. This was not what we were sold but there just seems to be a 'tough' attitude from DVC.

DVC are under no illusion that we are not happy :sad2:
