Thought I would just make this simple little poll to see how everyone feels about the design pics that our fellow Diser has uncovered.

Do you like the rumored design for the CRV?

Note: This has nothing to do with your ability to purchase a contract at CRV, just if you like the design that DVD might build.

I like the new design. I think it looks nicer than CR, but at the same time it does not clash with CR.

I think it's a perfect fit with the existing Contemporary -- very 60's! Reminds me of the Fontainbleu on Miami Beach.

sorry NO. While I kind of like it I just think it's to big.

I like it, but with some modifications of course. It's not as big as you might think, it's just a vertical design instead of horizontally spread out buildings.

I think it looks fine. I agree that it doesn't take away from the Contemporary which when I pictured a DVC at the Contemporary, I thought it would ruin the look of the Contemporary.

I like it, though I think DVD is setting themselves up for a ton of "request" headaches.

If you think people are disappointed not to get an "Illuminations View" at BCV, wait until you hear about those who can't see "Wishes"!! Or look out from their balcony at MK and Cindy's castle.

Not that a view of GF, Poly and WL is bad, but they really aren't quite the same, are they?

If they do this resort, I think they need to create two views (like BWV) and give resort home owners the first crack at MK views. That ought to really spur some sales!!

Looks like it will compliment the CR, but not really my cup of tea... too much concrete and too tall.

I like it, but IMHO it is too tall.
Also throws off the balaced look the CR had w/ the 2 garden wings.
I'd rather see both garden wings turned into DVC like in the pic, but w/ fewer stories to each building.
The CR should "tower" a bit over the addition(s).
Not gonna happen, though.

I would try it once, just to see what being on the monorail is like.

Not my cup of tea either. The Contemporary ranks with the All Stars for me in charm. But that's OK, these villas (if built) will be very successful and fits into what I like about DVC, how DVC tries different things to appeal to a wide set of people. Something for Epcot lovers, something for spa lovers, golf lovers, DTD views and now something for fans of the MK area with monorail access, all with different themes. What is annoying is when people assume there own preferences should be the only preferences for everyone, but then that would remove half the entertainment out of these boards.

Would love to see something by AKL as well, so hopeful on those rumors as well. I do see the logic of the DVC I and DVC II phases that others have referenced, which would make sense for something at AKL soon.

Still, would love to see something on the west coast. Probably have to be patient on that one.

Well, I voted no.

I think a lower structure would have been better. I think the CR tower should have been kept the primary object.

I also don't like high rises. It seems very high rise on the beach (not my type of beach) type of resort. yuck.

Nope, it destroys the 7 Seas Lagoon skyline.

What IS WDW without the infamous A-Frame hotel as one of it's icons? :confused3

Its not what I was expecting. I didn't think the resort would be a high rise. But I like the design. I can imagine the views will be spectacular, especiall the Magic Kingdom views.

Don't care for it, but I'm not thrilled about CRV in the first place. :sad2:

I like it! Would prefer that it had more MK views though as when we stay in the tower at the Contemporay, that's the only view we want. DVC I imagine will be the same.

I agree, they would HAVE to make seperate reservation categories. It would be a complete nightmare otherwise.

I agree. I think the CR should be taller than any DVC addition. Also, to me, it doesn't have that "home away from home" feel like the other DVCs. Of course, my feelings could be due to the fact that I don't like tall, concrete & steel buildings--too cold and impersonal. JMHO.

I think it looks fine - it looks like it will fit in with the Contemporary's theming. I agree that it might be too tall, though. I personally will probably not stay there (and certainly won't buy there!), since proximity to MK is not a big attraction to me - more the opposite! :-)
