Results:

The replies (replys?sp) act as expected.

The choices from the pasted URL thread along with it's votes are lost.

HOEWEVER, the choices can still be added back in and votes adjusted accordingly after the fact. This does not allow for 1 vote/user though, which was the whole point of me doing this test, so I guess it was a failure. Sort of.
