Police officers attacked by guests at Universal CityWalk

Different company, different background, different vision. Disney is based on wholesome movies for kids that has expanded to also include adults who are kids at heart. Universal does not have that "baggage" they don't have to worry about damaging that "feel good" opinion...they never had it. So i suspect Universal will keep it alive as long as they are making money. On the other hand, I do think Disney would walk away from a money maker if they felt it could hurt their reputation.
ANY company who owns a nightclub with most male visitors looking for a one night stand and losing female visitors because of this and then loosing the men to follow them: THAT company would be embarrassed about their behavior

So the boyfriend attacked a cop, then the girlfriend attacked the cop, the girlfriends mom jumped in? Classy bunch or what!

This is one of the primary reasons Disney closed Pleasure Island. The local "guests" were getting too hard to control and PI was taking on a repetition that was causing Disney World guests to not go there anymore. We stopped going for that reason...still have PI tickets that were never used...

I do hope the battery charges stick.

Yup! It was a disaster back then!

Yes, but Disney drunks are classier and more accomplished than Universal drunks....

A Naval Academy graduate and former football player was charged with attacking three Walt Disney World cast members while intoxicated at the Epcot theme park this weekend.

Austin DeVan Hill, 23, of Pensacola was charged with aggravated battery and two counts of battery after he punched two male workers in the head and struck a female with a plastic pipe in an area off-limits to guests, according to an arrest report.

Hill graduated from the Naval Academy in 2012 as a Navy pilot and made the Dean's List while he attended. He was also a long snapper on the football team, according to the Navy Times and Navy Sports.com.

Been to Epcot on a Saturday during Food & Wine? Believe me, Disney's penchant for short-term high-scale profit at the cost of guest experience is alive and well. We'll never go back again. Didn't see any fights, but observed enough drunken behavior including loud open cursing, yelling racial slurs at performers, etc all with kids around.

I have to agree

The "wholesome family"...while definitely a guiding principle for Disney... Is still ultimately an elaborate marketing pitch.

While Disney may have the best overall atmosphere (hard to dispute), universal Orlando is a fantastically constructed and run place... It's not a gang hangout like six flags great adventure.

And Rock Doctor,
Might want to ease off the Koolaid a bit... I think somebody spiked it ;)
