Polar Express Hallmark Ornament Question

I know some of you here are Hallmark Ornament experts (Laureen.. and anyone else)

I have a question on the Polar Express one.. Its the one with the Polar Scene with a roller coaster running through it...

I'm going to attempt to buy one 50% on Dec. 26th.
Now this ornament looks heavy, is it a table top ornament, or do you actually hang this on the tree?

If it is a tabletop ornament, do you have to plug it in..

How much does it weigh?

I don't have an answer for you, just wanted to bump this back to page 1 in the hopes someone else does.

I love Polar Express, didn't realize there was an ormanent to commemorate it this year.

It is a nice ornament. I'm pretty sure that it is made to plug into a light string. That is standard for Hallmark, even though sometimes it would be nice to have an alternative. I've got several that I display different ways. You can put a light string under some angel hair / snow or something to make it not as obvious. Another thing is that they don't plug into all strings. I spent some time making a red/white/blue string and my light/magic ornaments don't fit the string. UUUGGGGGHHH.... I should know better since I've had trouble with strings before.

Yep, it is rather heavy, so we didn't put it on the tree this year.

Oh, and janette, if you can't plug it into your light strand, all you have to do is take a light that does fit, straighten the wires, remove the base, and then use that base in place of the base on the ornament. Then it will plug right in. I've had to do that with several of the Hallmark lighthouse ornaments.....

Thanks Kim, I'll have to try that hopefully I can get the one I have to work.

I've found that if I hang the heavy ones on a tree I have to use more than one hook and make sure they are on a larger branch.
