I'm new to this and learning so bear with me...:D I was wondering- if you had 180 pts at OKW and 180 pts at BCV - both with an August use year- do you essentially have 360 pts and the opportunity to book 11 months out at either resort? In other words can you combine pts from 2 different contracts to make a reservation since you don't technically need the points until you check in? (or do I have that wrong?). I'm finding this all a little bit confusing but I feel like it is beginning to make more sense with the help of all you wonderful people.:D :D :D

You can use the 180 OKW at OKW and the 180 BCV points at BCV at 11 months out. You cannot book any reservation at OKW with the BCV points till 7 months out. So, your best bet would be to book the cheap nights you want at the desired report, with the home resort points, and then book the weekend night with the non-home resort points at 7 months out.

Hope this makes sense

You have to remember you have two seperate contracts or " Home Resorts" OKW 180 points & BCV 180 points and you can book 11 months out in your home resorts with your 180 points each in the 11 to 7 months window. After 7 months you can combine all your points use to use as you wish at any resort.

If you need more than 180 points, one option is to borrow points from the home resorts next use year. In other words, if you needed 300 points, you could use 180 2002 points and borrow 120 2003 points for the resort you want to book at.

We have this vary scenario, 150 points at VWL and 400 at BWV both with a September use year. As stated above you cannot book at the 11 month window with points that are not in the home resort, but as stated, you can borrow and bank. For your example, you could bank the 180 at OKW in the first year to the 2nd year and borrow 180 from the 2nd year to the first year at BCV. Thus you would have 360 at BCV the first year with an 11 month window at BCV and 360 at OKW the 2nd year with an 11 month window at OKW. This can be done in any combination of points - you don't have to bank or borrow the whole 180.

Thanks you guys! My head was swimming for awhile but I think I get it now.:D
