points transfer from 2020 to 2021 without being requested

I had made some changes in my December trip (borrowed before the restriction) and there were a couple points left not allocated, I had plans for them just waiting for the 7 month mark (today). When I went to book I realize that Disney had transferred them back to 2021 two days ago.

Yes. They are returning the borrowed points and i was surprised when I modified a March trip to find the points sent back to my 2021 UY.

Edit: I would like to add that I am fine with this because I borrowed then had way too many points because of all this world upside down stuff!!
 
Yes happened to me too. I did not plan for this, I borrowed before the policy was put in place and they have done a sweep of all borrowed points not in reservations and moved them back. I had planned to use these points for one night in March. I really do not think they should have been moved. The idea of unborrowing points, my understanding, was for those cancelled reservations through resort closure, members would not have to worry about calling, borrowed points would go back.
But I didn't ask anyone, and the borrowing was few days before April 24.
Whatever. Manager says I will let someone know you are not happy, but what's the point, that doesn't bring back the points and they say they can't move them.

This similarly happened to me. I was initially told sorry...points going back to 2021, nothing can be done. Took 2 hours to figure out that MS canceled and rebooked instead of modifying my reservation. That created a new reservation number and subject to the new points terms unlike my 11 month old reservation. It took over 2 hours and a supervisor but, they fixed it. MS system did go down during the time reservation was canceled which may have contributed. So, My advice to everyone is make it clear to MS not to cancel but rather modify to be on safe side. Likewise, canceling online to rebook will also result in new reservation subject to current terms.
