So I purchased a resale AKV contract and the points just loaded today. There are 110 2019 points that need to be used by Jan 1,2021. I asked the broker to have the member bank their 2020 points because we closed after the banking window. Now they added all of the points for this year and 2019 without banking this years points. My question is how do we know points are banked?

The deadline for banking December UY 2019 points was July 31st, so are you sure you got confirmation that this was done?

Under “My vacation points” you can check what points are in which year

So my contract is a Feb use year. The contract that was signed by myself and the seller stated that the seller was to bank the 2020 points. I guess I will have to call member services

You may have made a typo, but just in case: With a February use year, the 2020 points expire on January 31, 2021 if not banked.

If you have a Feb UY, then 2019 points would have to be used by January 31, 2021. They would have been loaded Feb 2019 to be used by Jan 31, 2020. so it sounds like the seller banked the 2019 points for you. If you have more than 110 points that show that they have to be used by Jan 31, 2021, then you may have to call MS and ask them if they can make a one time exception to bank your 2020 points into 2021. Then you won't be able to use them until you're booking a stay that starts on or after Feb 1, 2021. Does that make sense?

(Note: if you have 2020 points that weren't banked, you just missed the deadline by a few days, so hopefully it won't be a problem. Good luck!)

I’d call MS to find out what exactly what was done.

2019 UY points would have had to be banked last year so if you have those, they definitely expire January 31st 2021.

The 2020 UY would show as banked when you look at how many points are in your 2021 UY. If it’s double then the seller did indeed bank them.
