Points question (sorry) about booking and use year

We own at BCV with Feb use year. We have a modest amount (7) of banked points from 2004 and full allotment (170) coming Feb 1. Here's the question: if I make a ressie for next Dec 2005 I can book early Jan which is before I get my 2005 points. Am I borrowing points for use in 2005, or since my ressie is in my 2005 use year do they just consider that I'm using my 2005 points although I don't have them yet. I think you know what I mean- it could make a difference if something comes up and I wanted to bank points.

All points usage is based on the date of stay. If your stay is in December 2005, current year would be your Feb 2005 points, you would not need to borrow them. The points are available in your account now, they are not deposited on Feb 1. You could even borrow Feb 2006 points for this stay and still book next month.

Just read all the latest post and my question is very siimilar to one a few down- I wasn't sure how the 11 month window was effected when it is before your new point allotment. I think some of the answers apply to my case- Thanks

Always keep in mind that the 11 month reservation window has nothing at all to do with use year. You can always make a reservation at your home resort 11 months in advance.
