Not sure if this is the right place to post this question.

If we rent points thru a certain website, that isn't Disney, would we still be eligible for the free dining offer?

No. When you rent points, even through a broker's website, you're paying someone to make a reservation at their timeshare for you. Your money is going to the timeshare owner, not to Disney. Therefore, you're not eligible for any of Disney's promotions.

You might save enough by renting points that you do better financially than free dining, which is at rack rate. Probably not if you are staying at a value for free dining, but if staying at a moderate then crunch the numbers. You would almost definitely save if you planned on free dining at a deluxe resort.

We were looking to stay at BW or BC. It wouldn't be an issue normally, but this time we're thinking of taking our DS (25yrs) & his DGF too, that makes 5 adults. We would be paying for everything & as all Disney fans know, it's expensive. So we are looking into different ways to try & make it work. Also, complicating things is we would like 2 bathrooms, DS's DGF is shy & they'd like a little privacy (so would we). Booking two rooms is too expensive, we've been looking at the 2 bedroom villas & thinking of only eating at 1 TS a day. I know to save more, we could only do QS but we really want it to be special (without going broke). I don't know yet, if it's going to be doable, just throwing around ideas. Oh & since it's renting, we'd have to book a year in advance (no refund) & they're dubious when it comes to committing. So I guess I'm kind of at a loss.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

2 studios would be less than a 2 bedroom but I would not rent if they don't want to commit. BWV in particular have standard view for less points but you do need to book at 11 months for those.
