Points juggling...how would this work?

The goal is to make a reservation for a 2br and a studio at OKW....on BWV points. Of course since we would want to do this trip even if we couldn't get in at OKW, we would want to reserve a back-up at 11mo at BWV. The thing that I'm unsure about is this....the BWV reservation will take more points than the OKW reservation and we would need to borrow a few points from the following use year to make the back up reservation, but wouldn't need the borrowed points once it was switched to OKW (if indeed it could be...).

I am thinking that, of course, the borrowed points will still need to be kept in the use year I borrowed them into, correct? But could I then just make sure those borrowed points are used towards the reservation, and bank the few I'll then have left over? Just want to be sure that you can bank points even after borrowing (different points...) And the banked points would have to be used in the use year they've been banked into...correct?

For some reason I'm not sure if I've got my mind wrapped around this one right! Maybe its the next part that's confusing me....

And to ask a further question...if I need my BWV points the next year, could I bank even more of the points I used for the original backup reservation and use a combo of VWL points and BWV points for the OKW reservation? As long as I make sure that the points I borrowed from the following year at BWV are being used for that reservation along with any others? I couldn't really make the back-up reservation with a combo of points since I'd want it to be at one location...the worst case scenario of moving 8 or more people mid-trip would be rough! And if I'm thinking correctly I could borrow all my VWL points from the next year and still bank the BWV points that were used for the backup reservation (as long as I'm within my banking window....)

Still with me? Am I correct in all my figuring?

When are you planning to go? It could be that you would not have to worry about the 7 month window at OKW. I know there is often a lot of availability at OKW at the 7 month window.

September...not this September...but in the future...

I know I might not have to have a back-up...but with my luck, if I don't have one I'll end up with every day at a different resort or something! I think it would only be like 5-10 points that would be effected by doing the backup....makes the juggling more complicated, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
