Stupid question of the day cause I think I'm thinking into it too much.

A weekly trip for points is considered 7 night stay correct? Meaning checkin sat check out sat. It can also be any other day of the week also meaning check in tues check out tues? If I want to stay longer then I have to add nights at the end of the stay and add in the separate night stay points value? So if I check in on sat but check out sun I will be using a week of points plus a Saturday point stay also?

Yes, a week's stay is any 7 nights. The points charts are set up that way for ease but they are just the total of 5 weekday and 2 weekend nights.

If you cross seasons during the week, then you have to figure out the points needed based on individual day.

as sandi says, it's all calculated by night. it's easier for me just to add up the individual nights...

The concept of 'week' doesn't exist in DVC. Not like it does in some other timeshares, anyway. If you look at the point charts, there's a weekday (Sunday - Thursday) point cost and a weekend point cost (Friday-Saturday).

Some of Disney's brochures will show a cost for the week, but that's just to provide an example. They're just adding up the point costs for 5 weekday nights and 2 weekend nights.

So, if you want to stay Saturday to Sunday, it looks like this:

Saturday: weekend
Sunday: weekday
Monday: weekday
Tuesday: weekday
Wednesday: weekday
Thursday: weekday
Friday: weekend
Saturday: weekend

You'll have 3 weekend nights and 5 weekday nights. You just go the point charts and add 'em up.

Like all pp's stated. Yes they do add em up for you for the traditional week. Which is 5 weekdays & 2 weekends.

A lot of people go from Sunday through Friday & just have to pay for 5 weekdays.

In my example in my upcoming trip it has a little of all your questions.

Arriving :
Apr 5th Friday 19 pts in Premier season
Apr 6th Sat... 19 pts in Premier season
Apr 7th Sund. 13 pts in Magic season
Apr 8th Mon.....13 pts " " "
Apr 9th Tue..... 13 pts " " "
Apr 10th Wed 13 pts " " "
Apr 11th Thu 13 pts " " "
Apr 12th Fri. 15 pts " " "
118 pts total in a Value Studio AKV Jambo.
So you can see it overlaps weekends & seasons.
Best is if you can go for 10- 11 nights & check in on a Tuesday & check out on a Friday..Therefore paying only 2 weekend points & also probably getting a great deal on a flight for a tuesday too. At least thats what we try to do.. Good Luck.,
