Points from 2 contracts for a night

I have 11 points left on one of my contracts and I'm wondering if I can combine them with points from another contract to book a night that is within the 7 month window. I know I can borrow, but would rather not if I can use both contracts to get to 15 points.

You'd need to transfer to combine points from two different memberships. If they are both the same membership and the same resort, you can combine them easily. If they are not the same resort, but the same membership, you can combine them at seven months out.

Do you mean points from different memberships? if so, then you need a transfer and be sure they can be used for the trip you want.

If they are the same memberships, but just different contracts, it should allow you to check each one to be used and what order

If you have the two contacts with the same use year beginning month and same names on the deeds, then they are part of the same membership number and can be combined for a single night reservation. If you have two contracts with different use year beginning months, you have two different membership numbers and can combine points only by first transferring points from one use year to the other.

You will need to call MS to do the transfer and to make the reservation. Neither transaction can be done online.

If you cancel that reservation (which you could do online), the transferred points will not show in your online account. You will need to track them yourself and also have to call MS when you want to use them for something else.

For those who may not already know, this is the reason so many of us do not recommend owning two different memberships (unless you very rarely need to combine points to make a reservation). It can be frustrating to book, and involving MS means online bookers have at least an hour's head start over you. Sometimes, that means what you want is taken by someone else before MS even opens.

Call, even if they're banked or borrowed they can do so but they normally handle such requests on a case by case basis.

Thanks! The points are banked and expire the end of January. I was trying to avoid calling MS and was hoping for a magical online solution. Both contracts have the same UY and membership so MS helped me out with a reservation I currently had and moved the points around for me.
