Points for tickets

I would have no issue if they made Tix available via points as long as they did not do away with the AP discount. Its not something I would utilize however.

Hopefully all members realize that the ticket division and DVC are two completely different entities with different budgets and marketing, etc.

DVC has to bargain and work to get anything for us, and I feel the special price on the AP is a great deal.

They always have to decide what is best for the majority of the membership, not the wants of a few and personally I don't think points usage for tickets is something a majority would want.

5 year annual pass for 2 (not including any increases)

$6495.90 minus 20 % = $5188.22:rotfl2:

That would be a resounding NO from me!

Actually we are pretty much going to be non-AP people. This past visit (early June) we were there for 6 days and we spent a total of 4 hours in the parks. That was with annual passes. They were crowded and hot (yes, I know it is early June, it was convenient to go then).

And from what I understand, they are eliminating the non-exp passes.
After ours are used up, I see very rare park visits for us.
Disney has out-priced us. Not worth the cost.

My bad. I was looking at another 20% off of DVC AP prices so
$494.16 for a DVC annual pass X 5 years = $2,470
Take off the 20%; cost would be $1,976.64 per ticket.
I would take that in a New York minute.

Happy Birthday Oshawa! We hope it's a happy one!!

Oh dear. Wrong thread....pardon me :rotfl2:

oh my, i don't know which confused me more: the Happy Birthday WHO??! :confused3

or that weird feeling of deja vu when reading the posts - until i realized this thread was resurrected from 2 years ago.
