Since you are a new DVC owner, perhaps you are unaware that $5 per point does not even cover the dues that were paid on those points. BWV annual dues are $5.04 per point. Additionally, if there were an abundance of people foolish enough to rent their points for $5 per point, there would be no need to ever buy into DVC. People could just rent for $5 per point or whatever the dues were and just avoid the initial massive capital investment altogether. Actually $10 a point is low when compared to Disney prices. Also, you should know that $10-$11 per point has pretty much been the standard price quoted to renters for about 15 years now, while prices at Disney resorts have risen every year. However, if you still hold to your initial belief, let me know when you ever have an abundance of points that you can't use. I would be more than glad to take them off your hands.
