points/cash ressie

Can anyone tell me how I would go about linking a reservation using points to a cash reservation? If I only have enough points for a certain amount of nights, and want to pay cash for a few more, could MS help with making that ressie and linking them? Also, is there any discount on cash ressies with dvc membership? Thanks....I tried calling MS but their system is down and said to call back later!

If you make your cash reservation with MS they can link you cash and point reservation and you won't have to move.

You get a 25% discount on cash reservations for DVC resorts if available.
MS doesn't always have the discount available.

You could make a reservation with CRO. You'll need to note both reservations on the opposite reservation. Then when you check in, make sure they know about both. Keep the same name on both. Keep the same type of room. You can't get a standard view at the BWV on cash through CRO. You also can't get the BW view at the BWV on cash through CRO. You can't get dedicated 2 bedrooms with two queen beds in the second bedroom at BCV or VWL or SSR on cash with CRO.
