Points banking and borrowing

I'm looking for information on how banking and borrowing points from past and future years works. If you bank points from a year is there a deadline before you have to use them or lose them? What about borrowing from your next year? Hoping to buy a resale soon! Thanks.

Good luck on your resale!!

First of all banked & borrowed points should/have to used first!! For example, I am banking the rest of my 2004 points (54) to go with my 2005 points (197). I believe that I have to use 54 points before 2/2005. Someone correct me please if I'm wrong. Burrowed points is the same thing, I think. Oh & banking/burrowing is final!!!!! Does that help!

If you bank points forward, they must be used by the end of that Use Year. They can't be banked again (or put back). Same with borrowing. If you "borrow" points into your current Use Year they can't be moved again. You must use them by the end of that Use Year.

There are deadlines as to when and how many points can be banked. The deadlines are based on your Use Year.

Tinkgirl -- Do you have a February Use Year? If so, then if you banked your Feb. 2003 points into Feb. 2004 then they must be used by January 31, 2005.

Thanks, Allison and Pam for the info. Hitting the wall on my attempt to get resale of BCV or BWV though. How hard is it to get into one of these when it isn't your home? I'm not a busy-time visitor, prefer January or other slow time but scared to commit to another resort and then be stuck with it. J at TS says he has one at WL, but don't want to stay there. He also said it had 50 pts banked from 2003 on a Dec year, but how can that be? Shouldn't they have expired? Thanks again for the help!
