Points and Cash - how to prepay

I called to pay the cash part of my ressie off before check-in and they won't allow it. They said my CC will be auto charged on check-in day. What if I wanted to pay it off with Disney Visa points or Disney gift cards? Am I just out of luck? The dvc rep said it's auto charged to CC on file on check in morning. So does that mean it's my only option for paying? She said she absolutely cannot take payment ahead of time. This is frustrating.

If you don’t do that online check in for the cash stay, they cannot charge your credit card. You can just settle the account with your GCs or Rewards Dollars when you check in at the desk.

If you do online check in, your CC will be charged on the morning of your expected arrival. You can still visit the front desk, have them reverse the charge and pay with your preferred method.
