points and Cash combo stays - dining plan?

Ok, so I don't know the answer to this one. I know that if I have a points stay, then add a couple nights via cash, these can be combined into one reservation, as long as it is the same room type (at least this is my understanding). However, if I then want to add the dining plan for the whole combined stay, is this possible?

Yes, if the cash nights are through member services. Through CRO, I don't think so.

Debbie's correct. If you booked those cash nights through Disney and not DVC, you have to follow their rules - rack rate, tickets and a minimum number of nights.

Can I assume that member services would not be able to offer me the best prevailing general discount at the time (40%) ?

If available, MS will only offer a 25% discount at DVC resorts only.

And that is not always available. So more than likely, you will pay MS rack rate to book a cash stay.
