I am considering renting out some extra points I have. Can anyone who has already done this before give out some pointers as to insure a smooth transaction to both parties. i.e. should they be banked first....?.....any tricks of the trade on transferring? what to beware of...? Do's and don'ts.

However there are several members that have done both many times and can probably offer advice.
I explain to the renter my policies on renting and as long as they agree I make the reservation. Once that is made they receive the confirmation number with a points contract and have a specified amount of time to send payment. Once I receive that, I mail off the paper confirmation. That's pretty much it.
