Point usage challenge - are you up for it?

We are planning a trip to Aulani March 2015 Magic Season - Ocean view. I need 1 - Studio 203 points, 1 - One bedroom 406 points and 1 - Two bedroom 553 points. 1162 points total. I have three accounts (don't ask - its complicated).

Account 1 (150 contract points SSR)- 2013 - 89 points to bank into 2014 plus 2014 points plus borrow 2015 points = 389 points.

Account 2 (175 contract points BCV) - 2013 - 18 points to bank into 2014 plus 2014 points plus borrow 2015 points = 368 points

Account 3 (200 contract points VWL) - 2013 - 38 points to bank into 2014 plus 2014 points plus borrow 2015 points = 438 points.

1195 points total available - need 1162. Looks easy doesn't it? I wondered if I could transfer 38 points from account 1 2014 into account 2 to make 406 points and transfer the remaining 112 2014 points into account 3 to make 550 points purchase 3 one time points to make 553 points. At that point I could make a reservation for account 1 with 89 banked points from 2013 and borrow 117 points from 2015 to make the 203 points. Where did I go wrong or is there a better way. Thanks for sacrificing a few brain cells for me.

Ok, I'll bite.

Book the studio with your banked, borrowed, and 10 of your 2014 BCV points. Transfer the remaining 2014 BCV points (165 points) to your SSR account. That gives you 554 points to use for the 2 bedroom. Then, use your VWL points for the one bedroom.

I think that should work!

Are all three of these different member numbers? If just one member number and all are addons to that member number contract, you can use them all together.

If they are separate member numbers, remember that you cannot borrow transferred points, just use current year and banked points. So you have to be very careful which points you transfer.

all three accounts are separate. yes it makes me very nervous about pulling the trigger to quickly on transfer/banking/borrowing. i don't want to make a serious mistake. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Just a quick question about this...won't your 2013 points be expired for travel in 2015? My understanding is that you can bank your 2013 points but they need to be used in 2014. Am I missing something?

You don't go by calendar year, you go by Use Year. So if the OP has a Sept UY, the Sept 2013 points could be banked into Sept 2014 UY (that would be Sept 1, 2014 to Aug 31, 2015).
