Sorry folks I have to rant a bit. @ weeks ago I spoke to a CM from MS and asked about the procedure for transferring points to another member. She told me ALL I needed was the other members info, I emphatically asked her if they needed to be on the phone call and she said no.I asked again and told her I've been hearing otherwise, again she said NO,
Fast forward to today ,after waiting for an hour to speak to someone the CM asked "Is the other member on the Line?" Fortunately I had their number and they were available. This is unacceptable in my mind ,it's a good thing I'm on BP meds. That is all.

My first hand experience, they had to be on the phone as well. I'm not sure why that CM was telling you otherwise. Either way, prepare to call the other party regardless of what the CM tells you.

The policy for both on the line is pretty new. It’s frustrating that all CMs have not yet gotten the memo.

But, it happens and glad you were able to make it work.

Sorry for the wrong info BUT the second member would not have wanted to wait 60 minutes . You were lucky they were home/available

When I made a transfer several weeks ago, I gave the member a heads up that I was going to call member services and told her how long the approx. wait was and when to expect my call.

During my hour on hold I wrote to him asking for his phone # just in case. Him being in California I was happy he was available.

This is great to know as I have a transfer coming up. How do you all add the other member into the call once your hold is up?

That depends on your phone service and how their "three way calling" or "conference call" feature works. If you are using a smart phone, you can look in your manual or google it.

I've done two transfers in the past two months and both times they required both members be on the phone. The most recent one the rep even tried to talk us out of doing it, it was weird.

I gave the CM his phone #,she put me on hold and called, verified his info. And that was it, done, finished.

In my case, the CM had me conference them in. I thought it was weird, I figured they're the ones that would call and conference.
