Point transfer ?

I have spoken to member services and they have told me I can transfer my 2013 points to another member now but I just want to confirm this is correct. Our use year is April is this correct info?

Yes, because an April 2013 reservation could have been made by someone receiving your tranferred points as early as May 2012.

DVC Members may transfer points from the current and next Use Year. At this time, everyone (for another week) is still in their 2012 Use Year and can transfer points from both the 2012 and 2013 Use Years with one phone call.

In another week, those with a February Use Year may transfer points from their 2013 and 2014 Use Years.

thanks but I banked my 2012 points so I was of the understanding they couldn't be transferred. So that also means if I wanted to I could transfer my 2014 points in April? Not that I will want to do that just checking

You are correct that banked points can not be transferred. But transferred points can be banked by the person receiving them.

And yes, your April 2014 Use Year points can be transferred in April 2013.

From what I have read, they usually allow this.

I wonder if someone with two separate contracts can transfer to their other contract? I'd guess not, but who know! When I say separate, that would be 2 different member numbers due to different UYs.

In answer to the OPs original question, I was told by MS that I could not transfer the next year's points until the start of that UY. We too have an April UY and I had to wait until April 2012 to transfer the points in that UY. So, who knows? Not even MS it seems!
