When making a transfer if you have points for more than one resort are you able to transfer from more than one in that single transaction? For example - you have 50 OKW and 100 AKV points. Can you transfer all 150 to another person? This would be under one membership. I'm assuming so but assuming can be a bad thing sometimes!

Good question. I too am planning a transfer. All of my points are of the same resort but different contracts. I called to double check that they were eligible for transfer and the CM said yes. They never said per contract so I'm thinking yes. I'll call and confirm this. Thanks for posting the question!

Each contract would be a separate transfer and you are only allowed one per year.

You should be able to do that since all points are from the same membership.

If they are from separate memberships you would be able to transfer points from each membership each year - but not to the same member since they would still be restricted to one transfer per year.

The transfer rules apply on a per member basis - meaning one transfer for each membership number without regard to the number of contracts or different resorts held in that membership.

I just clarified with member services the exact conditions of transfers with multiple contracts from ONE Membership ID:

1. If you are transferring points from THE SAME RESORT, even if there are multiple contracts under the SAME MEMBERSHIP ID, then you can transfer as many points as you want from all of the multiple contracts of THE SAME RESORT.

2. If you want to transfer points from DIFFERENT RESORTS,under the same MEMBERSHIP ID, than this CAN NOT BE DONE. Only one transfer per resort (not contracts). If you were to have 3 OKW contracts, 3 BCV contracts, and 3 BWV contracts all under the same UY or Membership ID, you could only transfer points from ONE resort(but you could use points from as many contracts you have of that same resort).

So I am able to transfer my BLT points from two contracts under the one Membership ID because they are the SAME RESORT WITH THE SAME UY.
I had this verified by a supervisor as well. Hope this clears things up.

Intersting. Thanks for calling and checking BWV Dreamin.

With transfers being one of those seemingly grey areas I wonder if you might get a different answer on different days? I've never heard or read of a restriction to one resort and wonder where they are pulling that from?

I would strongly suggest calling MS and get whatever the CM tells you verified by a supervisor. Most owners have all of their contracts under one UY/ Membership ID. When transferring points those points retain UY and Resort, so it would make sense that the points need to be associated with one resort, not just a general points transfer( from multiple resorts). Call and let us know what answer you get. At least if one owns multiple small contracts of the same resort they can ALL be used in a single points transfer.

We were told the same thing.

I understand what your saying BWV Dreamin but don't really understand the reasoning by DVC. Since they worked out the kinks and the points do retain their home status then DVC shouldn't be concerned. And if they can allow a transfer from several contracts (ie, a 25, 50 and 75 point BLT) then it shouldn't matter if one of those is an AKV because it will stay AKV.

I'll let you know if I get a different answer when I get a chance to check.
