Point Transfer and Use year(s) Question

I think I know this but I want to be certain: I want to transfer my Oct points (exp 10/08) into another's account. She has an April UY.

The transfered pts would retain my Oct UY - correct? And could be banked in her account?

Lastly, would her April UY have any impact on when she wants to make a ressie with these new points?

The points SHOULD retain your use year and resort priority. That doesn't always happen automatically though, so she should make sure MS knows the true status of those points when she makes the reservation.

Since she is still in her 07 UY (thru March 31), your 07 points can be transferred into that UY. As a reuslt, she will still have her 08 UY available if she later needs to make another transfer. If you wait until April to do the transfer, then she will have to use up her one time 08 UY transfer.

Because the points are supposed to retain your home resort and UY, her UY will have no effect on when she can make a reservation. The points would be good for a stay from today until September 09, if she banks them after the transfer. She can make a reservation up to 11 months out at your home resort and up to 7 months out at another resort.
