Hi I am wondering if I can book a room using points that I am borrowing before I am allowed to borrow them, if the stay is after I can borrow them. Does that make sense.
Thanks
Heidi

I'm not quite sure I understood the question, so let me try to answer by posting some general statements.

You may only borrow points when you are actually making a reservation.

You may always call to make a reservation at a home resort 11 months prior to check out.

You may borrow points from one use year after the current use year.

The current use year for a vacation is the use year in which you reservation falls.

For example, let's say you have an August use year. Let's say you have 50 points left in your 2006 use year, have 200 coming on 8/1/2007 and 200 coming on 8/1/2008.

Let's say you want to vacation at your home resort in February 2008 and the vacation will cost 350 points.

The February 2008 vacation falls within your 2007 use year (which runs from 8/1/2007 - 7/31/2008). So for that vacation you may use 2007 use year points, any points from 2006 that you banked and points that you borrowed from 2008.

If you bank the 50 points from your 2006 use year, you would have 250 points to use for the February vacation (50 banked from 2006 and 200 from your 2007 use year)..

You may also borrow one use year ahead, so you can borrow the remaining 50 points from your 2008 use year when you make the reservation.

You can call in March of 2007 to make the February 2008 reservation - even though you need to borrow from your 2008 use year to have enough points.

Hope that somewhere in all that, you found your answer!
