So my dec is my use year and I have 160 points im giong to disney next dec so can iuse these points for the reservations or do I have to bank them and then use them.
I will also be going in march 08 so I think the answer is bank them and then use for my trip.

It sounds as though your first points will be available December 1, 2006. They are good for travel between that date and November 30, 2007. If you want to use them for a trip in December, 2007, you will need to bank them. That will extend their use thru November, 2008. You will also have another allotment of points available on December 1, 2007.

If you plan to vacation in December 2007 using the points you receive Dec 1, 2006, you will need to bank them. Same question, but what is the effect of making a January 2007 ressie at the 11 month home resort mark for all my points for December 2007? Do I technically have to bank my points under this scenario? What is the impact of the reservation on those December 2006 UY points?

If you make a ressie in January 2007 for a stay in Dec 2007, you will be using the points you will receive on Dec 1, 2007...unless you have banked the points you received in Dec 2006, then the banked 2006 points will be used. For instance, say you have a 200 piont contract with a December use year. You call in January to make a December 2007 ressie using 150 points, and have not banked any Dec 2006 points. You would be left with 200 points in your 2006 use year, that must be used by Nov 30, 2007 (or banked prior to that using your banking deadlines). You would have 50 points available when Dec 1, 2007, rolls around, because you have already used 150 of those points for the ressie.
