Point price (Adventure season, etc)

I've never had this issue come up before, and I think I know the answer, but I want to check with the experts!

Do the point charges go by check in season, or day by day?

For instance, if one checks in on 1/31 (adventure season) are they charged the adventure season rate for the duration of the stay, or does it switch over as of 2/1, on the day by day rate?

I seem to think that it's day by day regardless of check in date (and that there isn't an advantage for checking in on 1/31), but I wanted to check!

From what I have been told and checked on the points chart on member website, points are day by day but if you do a cash ressie it goes under the time of year for the first booking day. At least that is how I understood it to be.
