Soon we will be heading back down the shore and it seems like we always go to the same 'ok' restaurants. Anyone know of any great places, hidden gems etc in PP or that area? Any suggestions will be appreciated!

TIA!

Where do you usually go? We usually try to go to Jack Bakers Lobster Shanty.

Go to Frankie's on Route 35 South. It is right in the heart of Point Pleasant Beach. I have never had a bad meal there and they have a great kid's menu. You can check out their website to see the menu. http://www.frankiesbarandgrille.com/

There is parking right across the street that is free. Love this place. By the way, this is coming from a local. I live 5 minutes from there and when we want to go out to a restaurant that isn't a chain and we want great food this is always our go to place. :thumbsup2

If you have any questions about Point Pleasant feel free to PM me or ask here. I can give you all of the info you need.

I second Frankie's...we went there during the off-season in February and had a great meal. I also love Pete and Elda's as a pp said, but you need to get there early or you'll be waiting a long time. We used to live about a mile away from there in Bradley Beach.

Great info, thanks! We usually find ourselves at Martells and in one across the boardwalk on the second floor, whose name I can't remember. And the OB diner for breakfast. And one trip to Stewarts for Root beer floats. :)

Hoffman's on 35 South is good. Cash only. Kohr's on the Boardwalk is good too. They are soft serve only and cash only too.

My absolute favorite is Sundaes on 88. Take 35 South to 88 West. It is about 3 miles down on the right.
They have a cannoli sundae that is to die for (I don't think it's on the menu but sometimes posted on the sign on the road, just ask for it, they always make it). Any flavor ice cream, cannoli cream, cannoli shell pieces and hot fudge. Yum, yum, yum!!! Sundae's takes cash and credit cards.

Thanks for the info guys, we had a great vacation!

Hoffman's ice cream was the BOMB! So good.....Wish I was there right now.

We also tried the "Waffles and More" place right on the inlet for breakfast one day. So good. The waffles and pancakes come with this maple butter which is out of this world. The spinach, bacon and potato omlet was awesome too.

My DD14 and I also tried parasailing for the first time while there. I had turned green, and looked just like this....on the boat heading out to sea. When they took us up in the air it was great but I just kept thinking, I wonder if anyone has barfed at 400 feet up before? I am normally not such a weak-stomached wooosss!!!!! It was fun tho, and the crew was great.

Anyway, thanks for the info!

I think it was Hoffman's that we had ice cream at when we went to Spring Lake last week. It was AWESOME. They had a lot of really yummy flavors to choose from. :thumbsup2
