My use year is April 2008. I have 20 points in my account. If I don't bank them, they expire on last day of March 2009. What about if I bank them? When do they expire?

Thanks. I still can't figure how I ended up with 20 points left for this year but none for next year. I borrowed points for an upcoming trip, but I changed resorts and I must have had points left over. I wonder if I can switch them out and get my 20 points returned to UY2009.....:confused3

As the previous poster said, Banking and Borrowing are final. Giving you the 20 current use year points back was really the best option available, as it allows you to bank then into your next use year.

Thanks for the info everyone. After "sleeping on it" and discussing it with my DH, we will bank the points and use them for our trip next summer. If I lose any points it'll be about 5, so not as bad as I thought. I think I just panicked when I saw the 20 points in this UY.:rotfl:

Thanks again!:goodvibes

Although banking and borrowing are final transactions, call DVC and ask.
Someone may have grabbed the wrong points when you changed your reservation, if I understood it correctly, they may be able to switch the points around.
This did happen to me once and they fixed it.
After all, it's DISNEY, anything is possible, especially if you ask.
What's the worst you'll find out...they can't fix it and you just have to bank them.

I think you misunderstood the OP's situation.

The original reservation used borrowed points and current use year points and it took more points than the reservation she switched to. So the best thing to do was free up current use year points. The OP can bank those. If MS had returned the borrowed points to her account, she would have had to use them by 3/31/2009.

Her best option is to bank the returned points if she doesn't need them for something before 3/31/2009. Then she gets another year to use them before they expire. MS did the right thing with her extra points when she changed her reservation to a different resort.
