Is there a General Store in the resort to buy snacks and such? If so how expensive.? Also does DTD have a grocery store ? We are going to be there July 31-Aug 6.....Can't wait ...thanks for all the wonderful information on Port Orleans FQ resort......

PO riverside:
was there last Oct for MNSSHP and found it great! There is a store that sells a little of every thing it is more expensive than if you went into town and purchased, but if all you're getting is a few snacks it's reasonable. ( like a quick stop or 7-11) They had things like bread, milk, sodas,sweets, chips, and I believe it even had some fresh fruit.

The DH and I had a quiet dinner to ourselves (gave DS's and DD $$ for food court) at the sit down restaurant and found it to be really good. I highly recommend it!

Just a little tip for those thinking of POR with smaller kids the beds are rather high and they might not be able to get up on their own. We have older kids and it didn't matter to them, but I am rather short(5'3") and had a little trouble.

The gift shop at POFQ (& POR) has a small area for snacks & drinks, but they're a far cry from your local 7/11 or Circle K. The food courts at the PO resorts also have some nice snacks (fruit, chips, premade sandwiches, ice cream bars, cookies) as well.

The World of Disney at DTD will have pretty much the same snacks as the gift shops sell. Ghiradelli's, also at DTD, will have some great packaged chocolates if that's what you like.

Go to Ghiradelli's website and sign up for the e-mail a few weeks prior to your trip state that there is a store within 50 miles of you and they will send you a coupon for buy one get one free. It is good for around 30 days.
