With the resent upgrades at POFQ and the addition of 4 cup coffee makers, have they added irons, boards and hair dryers in the room as well?

Yes, there are hairdryers and ironing boards in the rooms at the POFQ.

"With the resent upgrades at POFQ and the addition of 4 cup coffee makers, have they added irons, boards and hair dryers in the room as well?"

Yes they are all present.

BUT

I was rather disappointed about the hotel. I understand it is a "moderate" resort, but we still paid about $150/night. My complaints:
1. We stayed there 7 nights, but only had maid come in 5 times. The same frayed sheet was on the bed the full week. BUT the room was clean.
2. We bought a five day pass so we could enjoy our hotel and the see/ do all the things that WDW has to offer outside the parks. The grounds were filthy. I get up early in the morning and saw no landscapers or grounds people picking up the trash. There was alot of litter in the bushes.
3. The speedboats at the Port Orleans go super slow. I asked before renting if there was an area where we can go fast like at the Contemporary, since I have a 3.5 years old, and was told yes. They did not go fast at all.

We will most likely never go back to the POFQ.

 :(

Just when I had decided on POFQ.:(

See, when we were at POR--AB last Christmas the grounds were littered also. DD was very concerned and I told her that someone had been careless and littered and that a CM would be cleaning it all up... it didn't happened in a 36 hour time period. Most disappointing.

Wow, that's not remotely the POFQ I experienced last week. Everything was clean, the maid came daily and did an excellent job (and left loads of towel animals), I didn't see any trash in any bush on the grounds, AND I paid much less than $150 per night. :)

I came back from POFQ on fathers day.
It was our first time there. We had stayed at riverside before. I liked the the decore at FQ better, but I have to say that I felt the offerings were not great. The food court was pretty small and didnt offer a great selection. The Baigets were great!
Our mousekeeping was just OK. I expected better. I had to get them to bring me a new bedspread the sec. day, because there was blood on one of the ones we had.(thank god I take them off as soon as we get in to the room)and I was checking under the skirt for left behind stuff on the morning we were leaving(we were there 7 days) and I came across not one but TWO needles on the floor by the end table. There was also cherrios(we didnt have any cherrios) under the bed skirt. So if they vacumed they didnt do a great job of it. and I had to clean the coffee maker myself every morning.
I have to say POFQ will not be my first choice next year. I hope this is not a sign of Disney going down hill, like everyone is saying!
Dont get me wrong.. I still LOVE WDW, I hope it gets back to the way it use to be when I first started going.
PS
We paid alot less then 150.00 a night also.

Dalpal, what building were you in? I was in 7, and it was pretty quiet back there. Perhaps the housekeeping personnel were less taxed? I left on the 19th and got back on the 26th.

We were in Bld. 5.
It was a really nice location, Right across from the pool.
It is a beautiful resort. ..........It would be nice if it was the bigger of the two with the nice restruant. I really like the theme better then riverside.

I have to say I enjoyed my stay at POFQ very much, clean rooms and the staff was friendly I wasnt overjoyed by the food court but it was good for a quick meal when I was there in May.
I just had a get what you pay for moment this weekend while staying at a Sheraton in Hyannis for a wedding we attended, we got the group rate 159 its usually over 200, this was on of the dingiest hotels I've ever been in.
The fixtures from the 80's, the uncared for grounds ( no new bark mulch, missing bricks on the walkways with weed growing out of them) thread bare rugs, rotting wood, rusty railings, the list could go on.
But I now know why I enjoy my stays at Disney so much I know what I'm getting and have yet to be disappointed.

Just returned from POFQ last night. We were in building 4 and the 1st floor. I loved the room and had a great location (very close to the bus stop, pool and foodcourt. Mousekeeping came everyday and I found the resort grounds to be very well taken care of. I would definitely return here again.

I hope our visit is a good one- we will be there on friday. :( we paid less than $150 a night also.

We stayed at POR, but we went to POFQ to swim and spend the morning one day. It was lovely. The grounds were very nice. I didn't notice any litter or trash at either resort. We paid $94/night. We loved POR, but we might try POFQ next time.
