Pofq

My wife, 3 year old and myself will be staying at the POFQ from 6/20-6/27 for the first time, in the past we stayed at the WL.

Is it as nice as it sounds? Any recommendations for activities and places to eat at the hotel?

Hi Yaksack! Welcome to the DIS!

The POFQ is my favorite Disney resort. The grounds are beautiful, and I love the compact size of the resort. My favorite building is building four--it's a quick walk to the food court, bus stop, and pool.

The only dining option at the POFQ is the food court. There are some nice options on the menu. Not all sections are open all day, though. During non-peak dining hours you may only have one or two dining options.

There is not a sit down restaurant at the POFQ, but there is one over at the POR. There is a lovely pathway along the river that leads to the POR. It's about a 10-15 minute walk depending on where you are staying at the POFQ. I have never eaten there, though. Perhaps someone else can give more info on the restaurant.

There is also a boat to Downtown Disney which is a nice, relaxing, leisurely way to head to Downtown Disney. It runs every 40 minutes during the day, and every 20 minutes after 4:00p.m.

Our family has chosen this resort over a deluxe for this
summer - our friends are staying at the Polynesian, which
we love too, but our favorite is this resort - so compact,
cast members so friendly, beautiful grounds, etc. etc.
Can't wait to see the renovated rooms. Have fun.
