anyone ever book POFQ standard and wind up getting garden or pool?
I just did online check in and asked to be close to transportation ... Since I'm a woman traveling alone.
I'm fine with the parking lot view - it's what I paid for, just curious ....

I booked POR standard one year and got garden. It's good because the parking lot is not my favorite view.

On our last stay we booked standard and got a pool view. Totally unexpected, but very welcome.

Lauren, For as often as you go to WDW, they should give you the Cinderella suite at MK.

Okay, at POFQ, or any moderate resort, I never book a view. POFQ is my favorite moderate for a multitude of reasons, but after paying one time for a view, I discovered that I paid for nothing. The rooms all have exterior corridors, so you really need to step out into the outside "hallway" to enjoy that view.

If you want to enjoy the view at POFQ, just step out onto the grounds and sit in one of the many benches that are scattered throughout the resort.

Lol - yeah, I'm a little out of control! DH is now giving me solo trips so I won't make him and dd crazy when we all go ... Since I can do things my way on my solo trip!

Agreed. In 2014 I got an AP discount at POFQ for a king bed room / which wound up being what I guess is a pool view .. I didn't really care about the view, but the location was awesome. The lobby was a few steps one way and the boat was a few steps the other. Was just looking at the map to see where the standard rooms are and wondering if I might wind up with something different.

Look at the map and choose a building that suits your needs. WE like bldg 4 or 5, but that is because of the pool. I honestly do nto know which rooms are considered garden, etc, but there is a great website (Andre, I think his name is) that will beak it all down for you. There is also a POFQ/POR thread that has a lot of great info to help you make a choice.

There are really no BAD locations at POFQ. It's so compact.

We had a standard room and got garden view. I really don't think there is a bad room in that resort. It's so small and compact. And We were never in the room, so I didn't really notice it to be honest.

I've booked standard view at POFQ and was given a garden view room. Also at POR, booked garden view and got a pool view room.

POFQ is our favourite resort. We only ever book a standard room (and request close to transportation) and almost always get a garden view room (never a pool view). I *think* we may have gotten a parking view before, but the surrounding gardens are so beautiful that I believed it must be a garden view (even though we see a bit of parking lot if we look over the trees and lovely greenery). I booked a standard once and received a garden view really close to the boat dock. The next time I booked a river view and I had a river view, but I was closer to Riverside, or so it seemed. I didn't mind; I love POFQ.
