Does POFQ share a bus with POR? I stayed at POR when it was Dixie Landings - is POFQ a little smaller (as far as the layout of the resort)? Thinking of maybe going back next summer and I'm trying to narrow it down to POFQ or POP. We usually stay in a deluxe because the party we usually travel with need Queen size beds so it's been a while since we've stayed in a moderate or value. TIA!

Yes, it does share a bus with POR. However, it stops at POFQ FIRST, so you'll always get a seat. It also drops off at POFQ first on the way back.

At a few parks, and in crowded times of day, they'll send separate buses for the two resorts.

FQ is very compact and very manageable, size-wise. I love the themeing and the whole atmosphere! And the rooms were all re-furbished a couple of years ago, so they're fairly fresh.

I think it's a great choice for you! :thumbsup2

Yes, it shares a bus with POR. POFQ is first on and off but the queue returning from the parks is shared and can be very crowded at times. POFQ is smaller and more compact. POP is larger but does not share buses. POFQ is comparable to POP. POFQ does have a small slide but no sit down restaurant.

I love POFQ - it's my favorite. In fact, I'm checking in tomorrow for 8 days:cool1: I know there have been reports of bad bus connections, waits and crowding, but I've never had a problem. I'll give an update after I return.

When we stayed at POFQ, we had no problems with the buses whatsoever. There were very short waits and the buses had plenty of room on them.
POFQ seems very compact compared to POR (only one bus stop compared to POR's 4). We stayed in Building 1, which was the furthest from the bus stop/check-in desk, but it was also very quiet and we had a great view of the river.

As everyone else has stated, transportation to the parks, etc., from POFQ isn't too bad. The only thing we had trouble with when we stayed there was the last performance of the luau, Spirit of Aloha. When it was over the MK was closed so we had to catch a bus from the Poly to DTD and then to POFQ, which took about an hour and a half. Needless to say I was tired and angry. It just seemed like there needed to be a better solution.

POFQ is a terrific resort! It does share the bus most of the time with POR, but it is first, and that does make a big difference. We really had no problem with the buses at FQ, but when we stayed at POR it was tough with the buses.

I just wish that they would both get their own bus service for each resort! It would make things a lot easier!

We stayed at the POFQ in April.....can't see we were impressed at all. Some of you may remember hearing my trip report. The bathroom had mold on the shower curtain, broken tiles on the wall. The TV didn't work right.....

As for the buses, we found the shared bus schedules to be a real nuicense. The buses would pick up first at FQ and then make 4 stops or more at Riverside. It was a long trip to get to any of the parks. On some occasions the buses would even drop a full busload off at Riverside first on some nights after the parks closed. It was a real trying experience.

I hope you have a better experience than we did!

the resorts had their own buses after 3:00 PM. The buses were normally crowded. I personally don't have a problem standing for the bus ride. It also gives me a chance to teach my son about being polite and giving up his seat to someone that needs it more.

We did have one problem with the buses. Returning from MK in the afternoon (before 3:00 PM) on a morning EMH for MK we had to wait for the third bus to get back to the resort. All other resorts were leaving at less than capacity. It's frustrating to think that Disney doesn't have a contingency plan when a resort's buses are overwhelmed.
