Hi, new to dis boards we are going on the disney cruise Oct 30 but we want to go to disney's not so scary Halloween. My cousin wants to stay at the French Quarter. I am not sure how to use the BAT code. Do I call someone?? I was quoted a price of $105 per night from dreams unlimited (is that good?).

We would also like to be closest to the pool and buses. We will only be staying there for 2 nights. Any suggestions??

This is my eight year old daughters first trip, that she can remember (anxiety) she is scared to death of flying and the ship. I doubt she could be afraid of Disney World!!

Will the POFQ be ok for the kids? eight and ten.

Thanks!!!!!
Jen

Hi Jen! Welcome to the DIS!

The POFQ is my favorite resort. It's beautiful there. My favorite building is building 4. It is the closest to the bus stop, and depending on which end of the building you are in, it's the closest to the food court, too. It's only a couple of minutes to the pool and maybe five minutes to the boat dock. Very convienent.

The POFQ will be great for eight and ten year old kids! They'll love the sea serpant slide at the pool!

$105 is a very good rate for the POFQ--not necessarily the best out there, but a very good rate. Rack rate is around $144 plus tax if I remember correctly :)

Have a great time!

Karen

To get the BAT code you need to call CRO at 800-828-0228 & ask for the code. This code will get you POR for $94 on the date you want it (9/30) after that it drops to $85. You must book by 10/10. I would call now and see if there is any availability with that code now, don't wait any longer.

Thanks for the tip for POFQ! My DH and I are going the middle of Oct. Any tips I can get helps. I was wondering which building would be the best and it sounds like it's # 4
Thanks again ::MinnieMo

Thanks for the welcome Karen! and thanks for the info.

It was a tossup between the All Star Movie or the POFQ. I haven't been to any Disney Resorts. My cousin has stayed at the CBR and the ASMusic.

The POFQ it is! We will hopefully find time to visit a few other resorts to see what's in our Disney future.

Thanks.

We just returned yesterday from POFQ. Love this resort. DS was upset that we stayed there without him. He loves this resort as much as we do. Especially the slide. We were in building 5 room 5345 to be exact. We thought it was a great location. Close to busses and food court and pool. It was a 3rd floor room and not close to the elevator, but close the the stairs which was fine for us, but if we had had the kids w/ us I would've preferred a ground floor room or something closer to the elevators, just for the kids sake.

We also just got back from the POFQ yesterday and stayed in room 5106 which is first floor facing the pool and laundry facilities. IT took about 10-15 seconds to also walk to the food court which made refilling mugs a breeze. If you are lazy like me or hate walking around a huge resort just to get to the pool or food court or bus stop I really recommend this resort.
