Is any one able to give me a comparison? We won't have a rental car. What are the pro's and con's of each (trying to decide if a bit more is worth it for POFQ) THanks!

Well, I am a "Disney snob" and I love to stay on property.

I'm sure the Radisson property is very nice, but there's nothing like being on property.

My dh and I stayed at Radisson Resort Parkway for 2 nights before our 4 night stay at AKL back in Feb. The room that we at the Radisson was about the same size as CSR and the bathroom was a decent size. The hotel has multiple buildings that gets confusing at times in trying to get to your room from the lobby area. We did not use their bus service due to its scheduling limitations and we had our car available. If you decide on renting a car---we could not find close parking near our building. There is a business center available with a printer and two computers.

My dh and I decided that we will stay on-site the whole time on our trip next month because we are flying and not renting a car (taking avantage of DME). We are paying rack rate for 3 nights at POP and renting points at BWV because the 60 day BRP news came too late for us to go get APs and we don't have AAA.
I think that you would have better range of resteraunts and other food fare by staying on-site when you do not have a car.
I hope this helps you in your decision.

If you are talking about the Radisson Resort Parkway, I can give you a true perspective as I have stayed at both. :teeth: Now, mind you, I stayed at the Radisson back in 1996. That was the last time I ever stayed off-site. While there is nothing wrong with the Radisson, there is nothing quite like staying onsite. I think POFQ is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful and wonderfully landscaped. You can walk over to POR and also enjoy that property. I love coming from the airport and "entering" the World. It feels like a true vacation when I stay onsite. I say go for POFQ. I don't think you will be disappointed. :sunny: Radisson does have an exquisite swimming pool, though, complete with a waterfall. :confused3 Also, Radisson is very close to the "World" and is probably one of the closer properties. It just isn't quite the same as staying IN the "World" ::MickeyMo

Wonderful advice. I love the "feel" of arriving on property and really think POFQ is the way to go after getting your feedback. We really want to be able to easily get to other disney properties for meals (Boma!) and I think my boyfriend will like the river scenery and boatrides, so fun. Last time I was at PO was in 1995, so this will be a treat (last winter we stayed at Swan with my teacher's rate but those haven't become available yet, might switch but think POFQ will be a neat change)!
