POFQ to Contemp to GF to MK?

Whew, ok, so I am trying to figure out the best way for us to get around on our check in day. We're going to be checking in at POFQ right at 3pm, but we'll have a few hours to kill before our dinner reservations at the GF at 6pm. I thought it would be nice for us to check out the Contemporary as I've never been there. My husband would like to see the mural, and I'd like to check out the cupcakes at the Contempo Cafe. From the Contemporary we'd be going to the GF for dinner at Citricos, and then after dinner we were planning to go to the MK to watch the fireworks.

It seems like the best option (when trying to follow all of the rules) would be for us to drive from POFQ to the Contemporary, drive from there to the GF (we have free valet parking with our TiW card), and then drive from the GF to the TTC and take a monorail to the MK.

I've gotta tell you, that sounds like a massive pain in the you know where.

Ideally I'd like to drive to the Contemporary, park there, and then monorail to the GF and then again to the MK, but we don't really have a "valid" reason to park at the Contemporary since we're not staying there, and don't have an ADR there. Would driving to the Contemporary, then driving to the GF, and leaving our car there for dinner and fireworks be ok since we're valet parking? I'm not trying to avoid any fees as parking is free for us regardless as resort guests, and AP holders, but holy cow would it be easier and a time saver to not have to be finding new parking spots all night long. Thoughts?

(PS: this is for 10 days from now, so a fairly slow-ish season, but lots of resort guests due to free dining.)

Rather than all the car moving, I would recommend taking the bus to the MK. You can then either walk to the Contemporary or take the resort monorail from the MK (almost same distance either way). Then take the monorail from CR to GF. After dinner, monorail from GF to MK and then bus back to the resort.

You could also drive to and valet park at the CR, after visiting the CR, monorial to the GF for dinner, then to the MK, then back to CR to get your car your TIW and receipt from dinner should be honored.

I just did basically the same thing a couple of weeks ago, except we valet parked at the Poly and ate at the GF. Our TIW with the receipt was accepted when we returned to pick up the car.

This is exactly how I would do it.:thumbsup2

Or you could just park at the TTC to begin with and then take the monorail to the Contemporary, GF, and MK.

would be using WDW transportation but if you prefer to have your car, I agree with parking at TTC & using the monorail for everything else.

Thanks for the advice, guys! I don't know why some of those ideas didn't even cross my mind. Sometimes you just need an outside observer when you've been planning for far too long!
